Johanna Baschke is a photographer and video artist based in Leipzig. She was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1990. In 2017 she finished her studies of Cultural Applied Science at the Universität Hildesheim. Afterwards she did a photography master in Bielefeld. She has been living and working in Salé, Morocco doing a social year, for one year for her photography studies in Brussels, Belgium and for one semester of Filmvitenskap in Trondheim, Norway. Since 2010 she has been working for movie productions as producer, DoP and director. In her work she focuses on topics of solitude, gender, normativity and social constructions. She speaks German, English and French.
